All work and no play…
Oh so much work! and so much disappointment, I feel like I’m never going to be good enough, I mean my work it’s good enough for the stupid client, or any other so called “graphic designer” but it’s never good enough for me, I hope I come up with a good idea for tomorrow or else I’m gonna keep handing this kinda crap as identity projects, websites, etc.
I try to be inspired and to be imaginative but I always end up with the same stupid crapy ideas.
I wish I had a broader perspective on art direction, I mean, to be honest I’m the best graphic designer I know, wich most of the time feels pretty damn cool but there are times I wish I knew somebody who could tell me their opinion and to be a fucking good one, and not all of these, “licenciados en diseño” with their stupid horrible work and their fucking teenage attitude towards design and….towards life.
Hopefully I have a couple of friends who scape from the former description.
Anyway that’s life I guess, the night is darkest before the dawn they say, let’s hope for the best.
There are certain things about my childhood that I remember with a smile, I’ve realized that those things are always related to graphics, color, animation or some kind of fantasy world created by my toys. I’m glad they NEVER left me, and that I can see them and find what made me love them in the first place, and that they still have the same mesmerising effect… is just nostalgia I guess…
Follow Muzzy is one great example of simple and kind hearted animation!
BTW I learned english with the FM course, well… living in the US for a while helped.

Creativity is just connecting things. When you ask creative people how they did something, they feel a little guilty because they didn’t really do it, they just saw something. It seemed obvious to them after a while. That’s because they were able to connect experiences they’ve had and synthesize new things. And the reason they were able to do that was that they’ve had more experiences or they have thought more about their experiences than other people. (…) The broader one’s understanding of the human experience, the better design we will have
